Nature’s perfection… pure taste
Our water is 100% free flowing artesian spring mineral water from New Zealand’s Blue Spring
Originating from rainwater stored deep below the earth’s surface and filtering through layers of rock, Kiwi Water truly is nature’s perfection – with great clarity and softness on the palate.
Blue Spring, New Zealand’s biggest free flowing artesian spring, is located at the foothills of the Mamaku Ranges in the Central North Island. Water from the Mamaku Plateau is stored in naturally occurring underground aquifers, or layers of water-bearing, permeable rock, and takes 50-100 years to reach the earth’s surface.
Protected from all elements in the aquifer, the water remains a constant 11ºC, and is released above ground into the spring feeding Te Waihou River at an astonishing 40,000L per minute. However, Kiwi Water is taken at a depth of six metres in the pooling area of the eight-metre deep spring, so the mineral water in our bottles never touches the air that you breathe until you crack the seal of the cap!
Blue water, is pure water
Pure water is blue because it absorbs red light leaving only blue, and some green light, to meet the eye. The water is also very clear because it lacks light-absorbing particles which, with other impurities, are efficiently removed during the long time that the spring water is stored in the aquifers.
As the water moves through the underground rocks and lava, it absorbs health-giving minerals. Kiwi Water is taken at the spring before it reaches the Te Waihou River, and contains absolutely no additives or preservatives.
Trusted testing & bottling
Kiwi Water undergoes minimal filtration before being bottled at source where we use industry best practice processes and procedures. Water undergoes testing and analysis by six different laboratories, independently audited to strict standards of compliance. This ensures the water is free from harmful bacteria and chemicals, and has optimum pH and mineral levels.
